Yet another castle in Denmark... this one is called Frederiksborg. We visited near closing time and had the place to ourselves. This room was mind boggling! Beyond huge and detailed! The photo just doesn't do it justice. Best viewed large if you've got the time!
It's mind-boggling to me that people created this- who knows how many artists it took to paint and carve all that woodwork! I like your lower point of view which gives us a small sense of how breath-taking this room must have been. I got a kick out of the two fellows on their cell phones as well- plus the one in the distance taking a photo of what looks like a marble fireplace @webfeet
