Month of Hearts #23 by kwind

Month of Hearts #23

Another gift from a friend. I can't remember the occasion, in fact I don't think there was one. She found this heart and knew I would like it and brought it over. Such a sweet lady!!

It's about 1.5' (45cm) across and has a solid back so it can be hang on the wall. For this photo I simply set it on our boat house floor.
A lovely present and a lovely presentation!

A nice piece.

It's lovely. It has wonderful textures. Thinking of the artist - very creative to use those many weathered sticks and put them together. The paint - spotted floor pulls it all together.

@karasoo2 We bought our property 7.5 years ago and there was an old house very close to the road and the boat shed which is much closer to the beach. Both were 55-60 years old. We tore down the house and Reno'd the boat shed to match the house we built. It's got HIGH ceilings and beautiful wood floors. There's giant doors that swing out to the ocean that make a great spot for silhouettes. The previous owner used to make fibreglass boats inside so there's bits of colour on the walls and floor.

Here's a few images from over the years..

I really like the textured feel those sticks give this heart. You'd think it'd be rough but they look so smooth. You gave it the perfect setting too.
