I have often wondered how many people have gone through these gates as single and returned as married. In fact they have a single entrance to walk through and a double for the married carriage to come out.
This is the lynch gate of All Saints Church in Selsley, next to the manor house I have captured before. It was made for the Lord of the Manor in 1850 and was modeled on one he has seen in the Italian Tyrol.
The church is well worth a visit on it's own have many glass windows designed by William Morris, Just be careful you don't go in on your own, you might come out with someone on your arm.
I promise you, it's well worth viewing with the magnify button above the picture.
Love how the church is framed by the double arch. You have captured the different textures very well. The framing is quite good: at the top the lovely sky and on the right, the starkness of the tree. A Fav!
Seriously though this is a lovely shot with the backdrop of that lovely countryside
