At last I was able to get out and have a walk around the village. I cam across these Ivy Berries on the fence of the village chapel and noticed the before and after the birds had got to them.
They are very popular with blackbirds and thrushes and they have ripened at just the right moment when the birds need them most.
On a side note, why is it when you stand in the countryside with a obvious neat camera in your hand, do people and walkers come up to you and say, "Are you taking photographs" no I want to reply, I'm making a cup of coffee for the sheep. I can as a pensioner become very sarcastic under my breath.
