The Path to Heaven. by ladymagpie

The Path to Heaven.

It's quite unusual to see a church path that is lower than the graveyard, yet this looks so neat with the small Cotswold Stone walls on either side.

The church stands in the village of Leonard Stanley which is quite near to my home and is very dear to all the family. It was built in the 12th century on the site of an Augustinian Priory.

In 2007 we lost Grandson Lee, who was just 14 years old, a tragic accident took him to God and this was his path to Heaven. He now lays at rest in a small graveyard which is part of this church, up a quiet lane nearby.

Don't feel you have to be sorry, just enjoy the beauty of this lovely church and how long people have worshiped here.

It's my usual busy Saturday and internet work to be completed, I will get round to commenting on your captures.
Fav, gorgeous church. There is just something about churches that fascinates me. I also like to take photos of churches and buildings.
