On the way back from the shops I stopped on the roadside close to my home to see if I could take another photograph across the valley.
I zoomed in on this church about 3/4 mile away and was quite pleased how well it has come out, showing the greenery that surrounds our buildings on the valley slopes.
This is St. Matthews Church in the village of Cainscross and dates from 1835. It's certainly not one of the oldest churches but is very beautiful inside and out. Behind the church is a wonderful park where I spent many an hour watching my boys play football for the village youth team, that was a long time ago.
