I've had a Facebook page for a couple of years which shows all the old photographs from around my area. This morning I put this old picture on it and decided to pop down to my village and produce one of my "Then & Now" collages that I used to do in my local newspaper.
The THEN photograph was taken in 1908 and the NOW was taken at about 13th December 2014. All the buildings are still there, although the once shop is now a private house. Didn't it look so much nicer then than today's hustle and bustle with cars everywhere.
Well it's got to be better than my shocking onesie capture of yesterday.
Fascinating how little this scene has changed, would have expected greater changes by now. Biggest difference is the hedge instead of a wall, the little roundabout and that room in the roof (left). Fav.
It is a very interesting comparison. I was a bit surprised by the similarity. And while these are both lovely captures, they just can't compete with yesterday's masterpiece! 😉
@shepherdmanswife Thank you so much, I'm looking for a Fairy on the Christmas tree outfit now - NOT.
