When I popped outside to my garage last night I looked up at the wooded hill in front of my home. I was shocked to see the place on fire with smoke billowing towards me. Don't think a bucket of water was going to sort that out.
It's surprising how different a photograph can look when you put a story against it, which is what journalists do. This was actually a spectacular sunset as it disappeared behind the hill. That cloud was just in the right place to look like smoke rising above.
Whatever the story, it was a beautiful picture to see. Please view it will the black background, well worth it.
