It was freezing cold but the sun was out so I decided to get out on the high ground for some photography. The moment I pulled up on the edge of this golf course it clouded over and hail stones arrived, so this was a quick capture and I've thought we could look at golfing terms.
Starting with the title, "Get in the hole", why on earth do spectators shout this out, isn't it the object of the sport.
Bogie - Something I have trouble with in my nose.
Double Bogie - Two blocked nostrils in the morning.
Albatross - A flipping gert seabird.
Eagle - I'm not going to tell you American friends what this is, it's a bird important to America.
Fore !! - A number between three and five.
Follow Through - Something I hate if I pass wind (Wink)
Jigger - A word I used to replace a swear word in front of the children.
Par - Well that is simply my Father.
And Finally
One under Par - Well that must have been my Mum or I wouldn't have been born.
I've got tears in my eyes from laughing this morning! This is so entertaining and I must share with golfing friends :) Thanks for starting my dreary summer day on a good note :) Fav for the humour - and of course the photo!!
Brilliant shot and narrative. Must be a fav. Golf is an odd sport. You have the ball, you hit it away from you and then you go get it. But you had the ball!
