Firstly thank you all for getting my picture of Last Years Berries onto the popular page, much appreciate.
I expect several of you know I have a fear of snakes and spiders, don't listen to that Lin who thinks I'm also frightened of pumpkins, as if I would be, is not that season yet - IS IT!!
Well I was just going out when I spotted this spider on the outside of my kitchen window, so I thought I would be brave to take it through the glass, unfortunately this didn't work. I got braver and went outside to confront what seemed to be a monster spider.
I achieved success with also capturing it's own reflection on the glass, needless to say I soon got out of it's sight. Oh I did forget to mention one thing, it was so tiny it would have easily fitted on your finger nail. Yes I'm a coward regardless of it's size.
The blue background was the sky reflection on the window, please view with the black surround.
He looks a handsome fellow but I am equally bothered by them. Most disturbed after I was told that they get into your mouth whilst your asleep....l yuk. Sorry and apologies if that has made things worse.
Aaahhhhhh! That is one scary spider! So much scarier than those lovely orange fall decorations! Nicely and bravely captured. Glad I saw it on my lunch break. I would have hated to scream out loud in the office!
How brave! I got bitten by a poisonous one when living in S. africa and don't like them now at all! This though is an excellent shot with the reflection. I like the way you've matched the surround to its colour
Come on Heather, must you spread the phobia! I'm off to lie down in a darkened room but now i'g getting my own back on Lady Magpie! ...oh no I can't - apparently all the tales about spiders walking over you and eating them in the night are urban myths!
well done
