I seem to be spending quite a bit of time in churchyards lately, perhaps picking the best spot for myself. As I was leaving I noticed this tree growing very healthily right between two headstones.
I would be pretty certain when the graves were dug back in the mid 1800's that the tree wasn't there which goes to show that there is "Life after Death" .
By zooming in I have just noticed the surnames on the right hand grave are "Cook" the same as me, therefore I must go back in case they are relatives of mine although my family are either from Lambeth, London and prior to that from the county of Wiltshire.
Thanks for all you comments for yesterdays pub and the questions about the pies, I believe they have pastry tops.
Great find & capture. Fitting title too.
I often find that the places I like & am drawn to turn out to have an ancestral connection. Good luck with your family investigation.
Great capture. I found a grave in our local cemetery with my name on it. Funny thing is, it said my married name was Johnson. I don't remember marrying any Johnson.
I love your theory of life after death!
Heather, they could be very far back related! Maybe your great great great great uncle discovered Australia the famous navigator
Cool capture\
