Someone mentioned the other day that they can't believe people in England live in buildings that are 100 to 200 years old and that the oldest buildings near her were dated from about 1900.
Well what about this lovely old Cotswold barn dating from the 14th century, almost 6 or 7 hundred years old. It's called Pilgrim's Barn and was believed to have been used by Pilgrims on there way to a holly place further south.
It's made from random coursed and snecked rubble stone, a stone slate roof They new how to make them last in those days. Thank you for all your lovely comments, you have kept me going as I approach the end of my 3rd year in the next few days, might have something special.
Goegeous textures and brilliant shot. Such a delightful piece of history to see, one of the many reason I wish to visit Great Britian one day (bucket list).
Such ancient history in that building. I can't imagine something from that many centuries ago in our country. How lucky you are to be able to see so many old structures.
Really interesting write up. Fav
