Out in the countryside I just loved this deep cut track across the fields and through to the distant farm. Just imagine that this has been used by tractors and previously horses for hundreds of years going off to various fields that branch off along this track.
While I was stood here there was a sudden noise and movement on my right hand side where a HARE had been crouched down between the track and the ploughed field. It was off like a rocket across the field before I had chance to raise the camera, but it certainly made me jump first. View with the dark surround.
Thanks for your comments and FAV's on my HAM-EATER photography picture yesterday.
The ruts certainly look deep enough for hundreds of years of travel. The tourist in me has to ask about the "fence" to the left, a rock wall or some sort of vegetation, either hedge or brambles (natural wild growth)?
What a hare-raising experience for you in that beautiful field :) And you'll be leased to know that I can now call "paddocks" fields, as my English daughter in law always says it :)
I love the these ruts too (and the nice rabbit visitor!). I was looking at some today as well here... only all mine were filled to the brim with flood waters! nice leading line tracks!
