Watching the Birdies in Comfort by ladymagpie

Watching the Birdies in Comfort

It's Bank Holiday Monday here in the UK and a time to take it easy, especially for those who have to go back tomorrow. The other reason for relaxing indoors is the fact that it's tipping down with rain and not a day for going out with the camera.

This is my position sat on the settee with the glass coffee table in front of me and the television off to the left. The first glass door goes into my porch and the second glass window looks out to my bird feeder. As you can see I can set my camera on the coffee table and zoom in to the feeders.

The only problem is the birdies don't turn up when you're ready and the camera turns it'self off after a short period. It's at that moment the birds arrive, but never mind I'm nice and comfortable on the settee. The photograph with taken with my mobile phone. View with the dark surround.

Thank you for looking and your comments.
And you have all day to wait for the birdies!

Well this is a great position for your camera Heather as the birds can't see you! Sitting down there out of sight, just perfect.....a sort of indoor hide!

What a great set up Heather. I've no doubt if I did something similar my dogs would crash into it or frighten the birds off!

very smart. I can never catch the little buggers and hate to shoot through glass, but this is clever indeed!
