I was out geocaching yesterday and it was quite damp and cold, thought it's about time I connected one of my photographs with a well known phrase, "It's just a walk in the park".
The meaning being, "Something that is very easy to do and usually pleasant". Well finding this geocache wasn't either easy or pleasant, but it was in a little park.
This very small park is in the center of town and I was concerned about going in there alone as it had a terrible reputation. This was a notorious hangout for all the local drunks and drug addicts, yet although I came here last Friday and yesterday, it was empty. I think the police and local authorities promise to clear it up has worked.
Just to confirm I did find the cache at the second attempt yesterday, my first attempt was thwarted because it had been put back in the wrong place by a previous visitor. A good caching friend took pity on this Old Lady Magpie and went there to locate it and replace in line with the clues, good old Roger.
The buildings below have fantastic age and history, I must go and take some pictures of them from the road on the other side. View this picture with the dark surround.
