With this heatwave in the UK I can't get out and about and I'm just hanging around the home and the patio. For this reason I have to see if I can spot anything around there for me to photograph.
As I watched the world go by I noticed this bee working hard on the lavender bush. I must have watched it for a few minutes before my brain clicked in and said, "Where's my camera". I took several pictures but this was the best.
It reminded me of when I was very young and ran to my Mother when I hurt myself. She always said as she comforted me, "Who's a silly bee then".
I think we had summer in early May, should have dried and turned hot by mid June, but not. as with @kwind , it feels like winter, which is good, I still have 50 more feet of tree to buck up for firewood for the winter.
A very loving memory Heather! Such hot weather we are having, I can't quite believe it. Lots of fires on the moors up here though it's worrying! Lovely shine on the wings!
