The Hills are alive with the Sound of Lady Magpie.
You can keep all your Halloween stuff for another year as yesterday Lady Magpie was out in the countryside scaring the animals. The sun came out as I went for another local geocache that had just been published.
Fortunately it was by a kissing gate into a field with wonderful views in all directions. Now for the funny bit: right next to the cache was a garage with a flat roof and I could hear a man mowing the grass on top of the roof, definitely a bit different. I made sure I was out of view whilst signing the log sheet.
As for the picture, it may not be quite Julie Andrews mountain singing place, but it still stirs my heart for my hills and valleys near home.
I would think that someone sing at the top of their lungs, helicopters flying around, camera crews trying to get their shots and the director yelling "CUT" would get the ire of the neighbors.
Off topic, but I have been watching "Cruising the Cut" on YouTube and was wondering how far you were from any of the canals?
@byrdlip We have the Stroudwater Canal about 800 yards from my home. It's being restored with only parts in use. Google it. Orchestra was the radio on the garage roof with the man mowing.
