Well I often go on about my big Brother Alan who lives just a few yards away from me. He nearly always calls in twice a day when taking his dog for a walk to see how I am; well that's what he says. The real fact is that his dog drags him round here as he always get's 3 doggie treats that I keep in the kitchen cupboard. When I buy them from the supermarket the cashier always laughs when I tell them I haven’t got a dog.
On my birthday Last Monday, he came round with his lovely wife; they brought me plants for my birthday. They are lovely and I did appreciate them. Unfortunately he didn't bring the dog with him, so after offering the biscuits to them both I had to put them away for another day.
Now I'm not the best of gardeners so I'm not sure what this plant is called, so any help would be appreciated. I've always thought that giving flowers for birthday presents is fantastic, and I go along with the saying, "Say it with Flowers". A box of chocolates and a bottle of wine goes down just as well.
Cyclamen are lovely in the garden, lots about this time if the year. If ever I get one given I keep it in the house until it’s past it’s best then stick ‘em outside & they come back as good as new. No they don’t like much water…..
Looks like a cyclamen. Hope you have more success than I had with this lovely plant. I always manage to kill them off and friends don't buy me pot plants any more.
