Out geocaching again, I had walked along the path on the right until I came to this lovely little stream and crossed a wooden bridge. The cache was easily found in the centre of a multi-trunked tree and I signed the log book and started to look around the area.
I noticed the farmer had added barriers across the stream, in an attempt to stop the little fish going up and down between the fields. It was obvious to me that his efforts were all in vain as they easily got underneath the barrier.
On contacting the farmer he tried to make out that the barrier was to actually stop the sheep going out of the lower field, but I'm pretty sure that he was just embarrassed that his trapping attempt to control the fish didn’t work.
I just hope that you don't think that this is just another one of my silly fishy stories that I have made up. By the way it was quite pretty around here behind the Avening church.
This landscape must be splendid in summer time
