Chapelle Notre-Dame de Tanya by laroque

Chapelle Notre-Dame de Tanya

It was very hot today, 32 degrees, so the evening dog walk started after dinner. We left the house at 8.30 and got to this chapel at 8.40, when the sun was an orange ball just above the horizon. I had hoped to get a bit more sunlight on the building, so maybe I'll try again later in the week.

The chapel has been there since the 11th Century, but what you can see is probably much later - 1768 is inscribed on a stone above the door. It still serves as an occasional church, and for concerts and recitals, and the interior has recently been restored.
Interesting pattern of orange light.
Being American, I'm always amazed at those old, old places still standing.
