This is the Place de la Loge in Perpignan. It was once the heart of the city, containing the town hall, the mercantile exchange and the chamber of deputies. The square is used as a market for different items on different days, books and records on Wednesdays. The statue is Venus, by Aristide Maillol, a locally-born sculptor.
