This was Friday 11th March, returning from Montpellier after my naturalization interview. Had to wear a mask on the train all the way home, two hours. Obligatory masking was abolished the following Monday. I would estimate that about half the customers in supermarkets are still wearing masks, though virtually all of the cashiers seem to have discarded them, I guess it must be irritating to have to wear them throughout your shift.
There was no big 'Freedom Day' fuss here like there was in the UK. In fact I only realized late on Monday afternoon after spending the morning in Spain (still masked), then visiting a winery (no masks), the vets (one masked, one not) and eventually a supermarket, where the penny finally dropped.
I hope the interview went well. Spain seems to be behind the curve when it comes to mask wearing. Although no longer a requirement, lots of people are still wearing them in the street. If you go into a shop or restaurant then the staff will ask you to put a mask on. In today's restaurant I had to additionally disinfect my hands and photograph the menu on the way in.
@marlboromaam I had that misting problem during my French exam before Christmas. During the oral comprehension I was trying to listen to the recording, read and answer the questions whilst trying to keep my glasses clear. It was a nightmare, I got 14 out of 25 when i used to get over 20 in the practice tests.
@laroque Slight improvement but still light rain and windy. I've move down to from the Iberian Plateaux to Zaragoza, so hoping for a slight improvement. I've given up my cycling plans and migrated to sightseeing, but only have a compact camera with me.
