Where did spring go? by leggzy

Where did spring go?

It totally disappeared today - it's been a pretty wet, cold, miserable day!

I had ventured out to the dam that supplies our town (and many other towns) with water, as earlier in the week they had released thousands of megalitres of water due to the dam being at around 96% full, knowing there was a lot more rain forecast in the coming days. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make it out there then, and I took the chance to check it out today, but no luck in capturing the release of water as they have now stopped it.....even though the water level downstream is still really high (which is the reason I thought they must have still been releasing water). So a bit of a disappointment on that front, although with all the rain they are forecasting, I'm hoping that the dam becomes full & they may release some more because of that, in which case, I will head on out there again :)

Soooo, on the way home, I stopped off at this old house that I shot back in February when it was very hot, dry & quite barren looking. The old house is still standing & doesn't look any different at all, besides the obvious difference in the landscape. Today's shot is in total contrast....so lush & green, raining & a bit of fog hanging around too. You can see my shot from February here - http://365project.org/leggzy/365/2016-02-12 Such a vast contrast, eh?!
Super shot. Fav

Soooo green, love the deserted old house. It is really unsettled here tonight, a storm and rain event on it's way arriving during the night according to the met bureau :)

I loved your February shot & this one is terrific too. I think I prefer the February photo. I like the sense of desolation.
