Autumn Colours

The flowers of the Sea Campion, and others, have gone but the plant itself hangs on. It is in a very exposed part however amongst the rocks on Boulder Beach at Grutness and will be pounded by winter storms soon enough. It will, somehow, survive and return next year.
Hardy little critters they are.

The dead heads are interesting, aren't they? I have some in the garden. Bizarrely we find it in the lower hills too.
