King's College has always been a centre for student radicalism. I remember sitting outside in a fake cage in an Amnesty International demonstration when I was a student, many years ago. Today's encampment is a protest about what's happening in Palestine.
An interesting juxtaposition of those tents against that magnificent architecture. It seems as though there is always something for college students to protest against.
I was there today too, having coffee in the Copper Kettle. Saw a Ferris Wheel on a lorry being manoeuvred through the front gate of King’s, presumably for the King’s Affair (what they call their May Ball).
