Mother said “Lou Ann your heart necklace will suffice for Valentine’s Day attire”

One Valentine’s Day I called mother and said I didn’t have a red dress for Valentine’s. She said “you still have that heart necklace and bracelet, don’t you?” I said yes I do, she said “you can wear that with any dress and it will pass for Valentine’s attire”. I still have the necklace and bracelet and enjoy wearing them, especially during February.

One of those great family stories! I collect charms and have several vintage sterling charm bracelets and one gold charm bracelet. Are these sterling silver, LouAnn? I had my first charm bracelet for sale in a yard sale when I was 25years old. When I wasn't looking my mom put it in her pocket. Years later, when I started collecting charms again I lamented that I got rid of my very first charm bracelet I started at 8-10 years old. Lo and behold, I found it in my mom's jewelry case...thank you for being so smart, mom! :)
