I love all of his works - the children's books and this one- have read it, too. Our school has always celebrated Dr. Seuss day - and my daughter, a pre-school teacher, posted the activity they did today honoring him.
Just seeing that book and thinking of that wonderful man who brought such happiness to so many, makes me feel happy even as I sit here! I never thought about what a wonderful gift that one would make on those occasions...brilliant! AND...I love the mat you're only hinting at in the picture as well! What a lovely piece of work!
AND...You new profile photo is just beautiful! What a delight to get to see you gorgeous lady!
@Weezilou Awww, thank you so much, I decided it was okay to use a real photo of me for my profile! You know, that is a hooked chair rug/mat, I just liked it under the book! I loved your comments, Dr Seuss was a fine man indeed.
Great shot, this could have been my mantra. I married when I was 21 and being a Forces wife we travelled together. 16 moves and three different countries. we are now retired but still find plenty of things to keep us occupied even though we don't actually move house any more, so continue to find lots of places to go.
@ziggy77 Thank you, I do love the cover of this book! @onewing Oh the places you've been is right, 16 moves? You could teach me a thing or two about what I should save and what I can let go! Moving is the best catharsis there is!
