Ole! by louannwarren

Ole!

Our local breakfast spot has a rotating art gallery for local artists to show their creations. This embellished steer skull was something to behold the other day! It can be yours for $600.
Ole !! indeed !! such an ornate and vivid coloured skull !! Beautiful ,but I think I would rather leave it there ! lol !

@beryl Oh I completely agree with you!

Although I'm sure the artist feels it's worth $600, I'd rather spend that on a lens! It makes a nice shot though.

@olivetreeann I longed for a better background for the photo. It would have to be in just the right place in a home or office to work. Pretty wild, really.

Only in Texas! What a sight to come across in the morning coffee shop. Definitely an eye-catcher!

@milaniet Isn't that the truth! @onewing All of us were astounded at the price, if nothing else it was a great conversation starter.

As Milanie commented...only in Texas! Terrific idea for a shot, Lou Ann! :-)

I love how you have caught the shadow behind this creative work of art. I wouldn't spend that much on it. Would rather put the money towards something to do with photography, lol.

Or you can enjoy this more cost effective photo of it. Great shot!

What a strange way to decorate a skull! Well spotted! Mind you I don't think you could miss this hanging on the wall!

@happysnaps @gaylewood @littleconnie @pamknowler The scrollwork on the horns, the "bling", the overall presentation was impressive, even with that absolutely awful background. If you look at it like folk art it is pretty great. @stray_shooter You are too kind. Thank you.

@stray_shooter I'm with Ron on that one! and Pam here, @pamknowler there's a lot she probably doesn't know about art in Texas! Folk Art is hugely popular at present, I know, but this is quite different from the folk art I see in Nova Scotia. They're shy a few cows....
