In the 40's a man would come to our house in Lubbock every year with a pony for photos. I was 3 and my sister was 9 in this photo, taken in 1946. This last weekend we celebrated her 80th birthday! The April Word for today is "Siblings".
What a glorious photo to celebrate the word sisters , and a great treasure as your sister reaches her 80th birthday Isn't it great what we find amongst our treasures and a wonderful way to reminisce our childhood days !
OMG! THIS is about the cutest and most adorable photo of the two of you! How perfect it is for her birthday celebration you just attended! I look at this and could get so sidetracked immediately, rushing to the box of old photos I have, though I already know I have nothing as cute as this!!!

Can you tell how scared I was to be on that pony? Smile. @Weezilou I have a box of old photos that mean the world to me, they are important to my family as the years go by. I'm the one they call when looking for a remembered photo. Yes, you can lose yourself in those old photos, for sure! @gaylewood Thank you, we had an amazing time! My brother in law turned 85 so it was a double celebration and some very sweet memories were made.
@henrir I never got over my fear of horses. At Girl Scout camp in New Mexico a horse ran away with me, haven't been on one since! @bkbinthecity@lynnz@littleconnie Thank you all for your sweet comments!
