On the Colorado River, this railroad trestle (bridge) was a popular graffiti canvas. So it was at least 20' above the river, I just can't imagine being able to hang over the side (and worry about oncoming trains) or rig some kind of tall ladder in a boat (and keep the boat still) while painting their bits of wisdom for all the world to see!
I love graffiti and I'm a grandma! I think it is a method of expression for those who might not have another way. I do recognize some graffiti is inappropriate in placement. This example I love, especially the "Never Give Up." Well captured, Lou Ann. Also, thank you for following my Alaska photos - much appreciated!
Terrific shot and I love the 'Never Give Up' message in the graffiti! I always wonder how in the world they do their painting in locations like this one...or on busy freeway overpasses/bridges with no sidewalks. How do they do it??? :-)
Thank you so much for your great comments and favs! My son's very first video game was Pac Man, this railroad trestle sure brought that memory fresh into my mind! You know the "rest of the story" is that this graffiti has to be done at night, it is totally illegal to touch railroad trestles! I was so intrigued with how in the world they could do it!
@365karly1 I loved your Alaska trip! It was amazing!
