Every spring, the Boy Scout troop in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, gathers the shed elk antlers in the surrounding forests and mountains and sells them to the city and a few businesses in town. The city has a city center park and there are archways on all four corners, this arch is at a resort close to the city. They are the signature symbol for Jackson Hole, everyone has to have their photo taken by the arches! It's a great way for the Boy Scouts to make money for their activities, so it's a win win for the scouts and the town.
@linnypinny@onewing@maggiemae@beryl@gijsje@carole_sandford@radiogirl@koalagardens Thank you all for your comments I appreciate you taking the time! Wyoming takes pride in their "Wild West" reputation, these shed elk horns show there are many elk surrounding the city of Jackson Hole. Hunters love to hunt elk and I'm sure when they see all the antler arches they plan to come there to hunt.
Thank you for your comments and favs, if you ever go to Jackson Hole, you will love the antler arches on the square's corners. They are the "must take" photo op in town.
