"8 more weeks of summer"...

There's an old time gardeners tale that says when your Coleus blooms you have 8 weeks of summer to go. Mine started blooming last week and before I pinched the blooms off yesterday I grabbed a couple of photos. (Imagine that - ha!)

@claudiet we have hot weather usually all the way to mid October, so the 8 weeks is pretty accurate!

@mbrutus The sun shining on that flowers stem helped me immensely on this photo. Our back fence neighbor doesn't trim his trees so we have a lot of shade. I was lucky one ray of sunshine managed to shine through!
