“Don’t you know I’m a good guy?”

My favorite Green Anole was sunbathing on my back porch table when I first saw him. I closed the door and ran to get my camera, and he was gone. I dropped below the table and there he was! Anoles eat crickets, roaches, flies and spiders, so they are a real friend to us. Of course, birds, cats and snakes consider them a treat so they have to be alert at all times.
Cute capture.

Nice shot of him. We have some curly tailed lizards that recently arrived and also view them as a treat. Sad.

Thank you so much for stopping by to see this good guy, he’s quite a big guy now, ever alert and obviously finding enough insects to satisfy his appetite. I appreciate your comments more than you know!

That anole is no match for your watchful eye! He's so different from our California lizards! Like you, we think they're a treasure to have in the yard, and I weigh the health of the yard by the number I find sunning themselves out there!
