My daughter in law Hillary graduated from Texas Christian University last week with her doctoral degree in Anesthesiology. We are so very proud of her. The mascot of TCU is the lowly horned frog and the gesture for everything TCU is this funny frog claw. Here she and her friend Chelsea (in the pink earrings) make the gesture standing under the campus Horned Frog statue!
Congratulations to Hillary. I just really do not like the gesture for the horned toad. I feel they could certainly find something more creative. Smile.
@henrir I’ve gotten used to it, Cindi’s daughter was the TCU mascot for three years. Even 5 year old Sydney makes a perfect claw, ha! The Baylor Bear claw isn’t that much better. They are all a big part of the college experience though!
She would be so proud to be wearing these special colours! Never heard of a frog being a mascot - it does make croaking sounds and one wouldn't want anyone in this city to croak!
Thank you all for your great comments! This young lady is truly amazing, she raised 2 teenagers and a little boy (with her husband), worked full time and made very good grades all the way through her degree work. I’ve never seen such determination and focus in my life! She’s going to work at a great children’s hospital in Fort Worth, the world is hers now, she has more than earned it.
Congratulations to Hillary!!! Wow! That's quite an accomplishment! I can understand why you are all totally proud of her! Awesome capture with a perfect composition! :-)
thanks for sharing their mascot sign.
really nice to see this.
