We visited a new Vietnamese restaurant Monday and had just the best meal. These mussels were in a lemongrass coconut broth that was amazing. The grilling of the Banh Mi bread brought out itโs beautiful flavors. @weezilou and her family are on the Canadian Province of Prince Edward Island (PEI) this week, I hope they have some fresh mussels!
Oh, that is one delicious-sounding dish! Haven't had the mussels, but we've seen some of the "farms" and the contraptions they grow them on! If we get back by, I'll try to get a picture for you! The first night I had a lobster pot pie that could happily have sent me to heaven! It was an excellent restaurant! Tonight, most of a tour-bus restaurant, but John said he read it was a good choice in the suggestion book in the room. I had the scallop & lobster au gratin...too salty, two teensy pieces of lobster claw and overcooked scallops... Ken told me not to complain since John picked it out... I won't starve, but I've had better!! (Come to think of it, didn't see mussels on either menu! They're quite plentiful in Lunenburg!
PS...thanks for thinking of me in your comment : ) AND OMG!!! My terrible manners! While still in Lunenburg, Ken walked up to the car saying, you just got the dearest pc from Lou Ann! My gosh he was so right... LOVED the front of it, and that was *the nicest note* t the two of us I think we may ever have received! You're a gem, m'friend! So lovely of you!!!
Looks interesting- and sounds tasty if you like mussels. I do like some seafood but not usually what I call the squishy stuff! haha Glad you enjoyed it!
