22 1/2 hours in the life of two mushrooms

I took the first photo at 8:30 PM and the fourth and last photo at 7:00 PM the next day. I was surprised at how quickly they opened, looked great and then started turning brown and slippery. This for the Aug18words word today “collage”.

I’ve noticed more mushrooms this year in my neighborhood, compared to the last few years. I guess those big rains contributed to that. I would be afraid to eat a mushroom growing in the wild!
