The lady leads the way

I went back to the Riverwalk not far from my home yesterday, hoping the Canadian Geese were back for the winter. There is so much construction and noise there now I literally saw two pair of Mallards, not a goose in sight! These two were swimming under the fountain and I liked the water sparkles made by the fountain.
Love that you captured them with the fountain.

Such a fabulous shot, at first I thought they were swimming in the rain ;-)

Great capture. I think all the Canadian geese are in Granbury. We have a lot that are year around residents.

Nice shot! It almost looks like it's snowing. If the geese find the area to be pleasant enough they'll move in and they won't leave. Places around here have become overrun with them!

Ha ha, good to see he is following.

@olivetreeann There’s usually a group of at least 15 Snowgeese at the Riverwalk, I guess all the construction noise caused them to go someplace else for the day. I imagine when the noise settles down they are back there for the night at least.

@louannwarren Oh- Snow Geese- yes, that's different. I think they are sensitive that way, and they definitely don't take over like the Canada Geese do. We have a preserve a couple hours away where the Snow Geese make a stop on their migratory route. It's amazing to see thousands of them in the fields!

@bkbinthecity @onewing @summerfield @gardenfolk Thank you! This popped on the TP! @summerfield we just like any water birds around here, of course we don’t live by water so we don’t have to clean up after them. Smile.
