I posted this on Facebook and my sister called to tell me I should have used my Lenox Eternal. We had 18 for lunch Christmas Day and the last thing I wanted to do was wash my china. So, yes, I took the easy way out, I went to Party City and bought these big sturdy oval shaped paper plates! Sometimes she can be so bossy. Ha ha!
Nothing wrong with these pretty paper plates for a crowd. I did notice, but since I know you have beautiful china, I thought you were very smart. Happy New Year.
Ha Ha I know how you feel Lou Ann, we always use the best china and crystal glasses at Christmas time and they are not dishwasher friendly, its always my job to wash them by hand and treat them with the utmost respect, btw lovely table display and capture:)
Haha .. Sisters can be.. next time take a photo with a couple plates on the table.. then post on Fb and replace them with paper plates.. she will never know... unless she is one of the guests.. paper plates in our household as well for our Christmas dinner..
You are a smart lady - no dishes to wash more time with family and friends. When I have friends its only one or two people so I know my dishwasher can handle the dishes so I am always using real dishes but have given up my fancy dishes Just plain white Correlle dishes
Well you did right Lou Ann, festive & happy plates without in theory any washing up to do, except these plates are so nice you might say too good the throw away & end up washing them anyway.....I hope you didn’t! I must google Lenox Eternal ! Happy New Year!
I like how your “China” matches the rest of the table very nicely! I think you have your priorities right when you would rather spend time with people than clean
@happypat@mittens@gilbertwood@grammyn Thank you all so much for your wonderful comments! I’m glad you agree with me, smile! My goodness this just popped on the PP. Thank you!
@happypat I have Christmas theme salad plates to put in the middle of the dinner plates, they make the Christmas table look so pretty. But honestly with the little ones, 2 and 5 years old, I just didn’t dare put them out. It’s a good thing my sister lives 300 miles away! Ha ha!
Have a Happy New Year and all the best for 2019!
Happy New Year.
