Six perches aren’t enough when it’s cold

You can count on the birds to show you when we are going to have a cold night, they swarm the feeder.

I have a feeder just like this and it seldom gets used. Maybe because I have so many more feeders out there that the birds prefer more.

You're right about them getting real busy when the temperature drops. Saturday it was quite cold - first sign of birds finally - today in the 50's and not one bird in sight. I love the purple finches.
