I’m visiting my son in Austin and one of the iconic neon signs in town is this classic on the original Lucy’s restaurant there. Austin loves neon signs and we drove and walked tonight to photograph some neon signs made by Evan Voyles, the “Neon Cowboy”. The magazine article that gave me the idea of a neon walk was in a magazine article. (@grammyn told me the link I posted here earlier didn’t work so I removed it).
@grammyn Thank you for telling me about the link. I will remove it, it’s a Garden and Gun Magazine link to Even Voyles and it is what inspired me to take the walk. I built a spreadsheet from all the addresses and we were able to walk 90% of it, three miles when all was said and done. Ha! Of course walking with my son, who missed his calling as a standup comedian, added to the whole walk. 😊
