Haley chose the bridal bouquet made of flowers native to Hawaii, namely Proteas of different kinds and Red Ginger. She texted me this photo from Maui (she and her fiancé went to Hawaii, just the two of them, to get married and have their honeymoon). The bouquet was so unique and different compared to the bridal flowers used here. This for my rainbow color orange today.
A beautiful bouquet and lovely shot Lou Ann, but they are not native to Hawaii. Quote from google " Proteas flourish on the slopes in Maui as though they were born out of the soil. They are not native to Hawaii, but have become part of the exotic flower industry. They are native to South Africa ;-)
@ludwigsdiana Thank you, Diana! So much for the “Bridal hype” sweet Haley paid for. She specifically told her consultant she wanted flowers native to Maui. I thought of your project when I saw her bouquet, but I didn’t think any more about it. 😊
@pcoulson we are patiently waiting for her professional photos, I know she was an exquisite bride and absolutely nothing could outshine her on that day.
@louannwarren I was always under the impression that they were native to SA. I just wanted to confirm it for myself. It is still a stunning bouquet Lou Ann and I am sure she was a beautiful bride. Looking forward to seeing some more :-)
A great addition to your rainbow challenge.
