Alan planted mustard between the vine rows to till into the soil and fertilize the grapes. It added wonderful color to the scene.

Lovely perspective and detail Lou Ann I also see the rose bushes at the end of the two rows, interestingly planted at the end of rows as an early warning system, they attract insects like aphids, they also get fungal disease like black rot and mildew before the vines do very clever:)

@pcoulson Yes, Alan depends on those rose bushes for all the reasons you listed. Sonoma has had so much rain this year he is worried about mildew right now!
