In the Dior exhibit catalog, this ensemble was listed as “Look 08 - Christian Dior by John Galliano. Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2004. Silk cape and long skirt.” I thought this creation deserved a more exotic title. My friends and I had fun talking about getting into and out of a limousine while wearing this cape.
That's a very daring one, love the colours though. Ineresting that you have seen all these Dior creations. Back in 1972 I used to be their house mannequin/model in Tokyo 😊
@ludwigsdiana The things we slowly learn about one another!!! I was drawn to the beauty of the coloration of this exhibit piece, not to mention the exquisite detail! I'd have LOVED to have seen this show! Without going and looking for it, it's the third museum show revolving around fashion I've encountered this summer! (To have been a house model for Dior sounds like a dream position! I can well imagine it as, at that same time, I was in Dallas designing dresses for little girls... ...Tokyo and Dior would have been far more exotic!)
