Keeping the birds away

We visited two wineries yesterday, all their vines were netted to keep the birds away. Most of the vines were growing through the netting but the grapes were protected inside the net. It will be harvest time very soon, the vines were loaded with grapes.

@Weezilou There are videos on the various winery Facebook pages showing the vine netting, super labor intensive, but absolutely necessary.

I have a feeling that most of the vines around here are also "under wraps". But you have to do this in order to have grapes to make wine with! Good shot.
