One of the large Grapevine hotels keeps a herd of cattle on some property adjoining their campus. They don’t use them for cattle drive demonstrations like the cattle in the Fort Worth Stockyards. The hotel is the Gaylord Texan, and it’s very “Texan” to have a herd of cattle, so we think that must be the reason they are there. Ha! The land is close to DFW airport, I was happy to get an airplane in this shot.
I don't remember the Grapevine hotels when we were over there but there is the usual great block of building with numerous windows that is so usual for hotels there!
Great light and focus on the cattle! fav
@milaniet@taffy@kwind@mittens@carole_sandford@danette@carolmw@ludwigsdiana@julzmaioro@happypat@sugarmuser@maggiemae thank you! The cattle looked a little thin to me, but since I don’t know anything about raising cattle, they may be just fine. @maggiemae the hotel in this photo is the 400 room Great Wolf Lodge, it’s across the road from the 1,500 room Gaylord. When the Gaylord first opened we went out there several times for special celebrations, it’s a beautiful hotel. The Great Wolf is more family oriented with everything for children, so we haven’t stayed there.
Great light and focus on the cattle! fav
