“Three simple waxy flowers”

Bougainvillea are beautiful, the “inflorescence”, the color, comes from large, colorful bracts, the flower is the tiny waxy flowers. I was so surprised to learn this about these stunning plants. They are native to South America, here they have to be brought inside in the winter and sometimes they don’t come back the next year.
I like how you have filled the frame, gorgeous colour and flower

Nice lighting and good idea to mostly fill the frame with the leaves- it brings out the delicate flowers that way.

They are beautiful plants, but we had to take ours out because it grew like wildfire and the roots started to lift the pavers on our patio.
