At a friend’s retirement party last evening I handed my phone to Camille’s grandmother to take our photo. I have my arms around Camille, and of course there were better photos, but I loved this one. I thought my 365 friends would like a smile on this Friday the 13th! 🤣

Thank you all for your fun comments. Grandmother Joyce is a retired RN. She was so funny when I handed her my phone, her first photo was this one, she handed the phone back to me and I said oh Joyce, you need to try again. The next photo she took was a burst of 46 pictures. I laughed till I cried. She is such a beautiful, smart, fun woman, I had no idea she didn’t know anything about using a phone as a camera. Camille was so happy to be at her Pop Pop’s retirement party, that’s him on the left in the photo.
@louannwarren Oh Lou Ann I just loved the addition to your story. I laughed till I cried too, what a cheery way to start my day. Thank you for posting this picture and story and thank you to Joyce too.
@gilbertwood it’s always a mystery when you ask someone to take a photo with a phone or a camera, ha ha! @gardenfolk awww, a sweet memory! @onewing it’s so good to laugh! 😊 @mittens@stevepam@milaniet thank you so much, this photo has been fun!
I know how Grandma feels! I'm always nervous taking a cell phone shot too- although I admit to not cutting off heads! Last month when the photo club was at Grey Towers there was a young family- mom, dad and baby son- taking photos of mom with baby, dad with baby but of course they couldn't do all three. So I volunteered to take one for them (yikes, what was I thinking!). I hit the burst button too! But I also got a few individual shots off so they were quite happy. We had a good laugh- here I am walking around with my T3i dslr and can't handle a cell-phone point and shoot!
