Coming home from visiting Cadence at her university we drove through blinding smoke two different times. There was a lot of traffic, we had to just go slow and get through it. In those rural areas they only have small volunteer departments who just do the best they can. With all our dry weather and high winds, I’m sure this is a daily problem.
I watched a documentary the other evening all about that terrible fire in Paradise...what a terrible time that was...so scary & here is another incidence.....hope you get rain soon so the threat dies away.
I'm sure it's as dangerous as it appears. I really don't understand why so many people throw things out of the car window- especially when it produces fires like this. I do hope it's able to be controlled soon.
@carole_sandford@danette@mgmurray@olivetreeann@happysnaps@bkbinthecity@lynnz@joansmor thank you for your wonderful comments and faves this is on the TP and PP this morning, thank you! As luck would have it, this area had received several inches of rain in the last 24 hours. So thankful for the moisture, no more grass fires at least for a while.
