Olé!

The year Jerry was president of the US Navy USS Hornet Association reunion, we chose San Antonio for the event. Here I asked our friend Kenn Livingston to take our photo before we walked into the closing banquet. People still talk about our sombreros. Smile. This for the November word “hat”.

If you are ever in San Antonio, you will end up at the La Mercado, you can find a sombrero in any color (and a million other wonderful things) there. When I was in the 3rd grade my class learned to do the Mexican hat dance, dancing around a sombrero on the ground. The thing about them is they are really more of a costume item, we wore them to the banquet and we haven’t worn them since, ha ha!
