My friend Lynda works for a company that installs and maintains plants in commercial buildings. When I posted this image from NorthPark Mall on Facebook I said that I had no idea what these plants were. She knew what they were but had never seen them “braided”. Years ago I knew a lady who befriended NorthPark’s gardeners and they would tell her when they were going to change out the plants in the mall. She took a lot of the discarded plants and put them in her yard. Needless to say, she had the most exotic yard in her neighborhood.
Fabulous to see all of these being grown! Super shot! I have one of these. Purchased it a few years back and within a month, it had new growth so now, the center is braided as you’ve shown but it has more branches that shoot out in arcs all around! Making the braided portion even more amazing. When I picked mine up, I was told it was a succulent and thanks to you and your friend, I know exactly what it is now.
Wow I have never seen a garden display like that before...they look bizarre but fascinating. I have never seen or heard of these plants before...do they flower? Perhaps a sort of cactus plant?
They look so strange in a way. For some reason I feel like I'm in the produce section of the supermarket! Do they bloom? You'll have to show us what they look like when they do, if they do. Good pov, good shot!
